Among other achievements, Jenkins has been honored with the 2013 Red Smith Award and the 2017 Ring Lardner Award for Excellence in Sports Journalism, and in 2012 he was inducted into the 2012 World Golf Hall of Fame, Lifetime Achievement Category.
